Home for the Holidays

Home finally after a log assignment in Michigan.  The work was good and the people were friendly.  The hours were long and the days ran together.  I finally got home after leaving on the 8th of September, on the 7th of November.

We have some interesting pictures to share and we had a little mishap while unloading the TC.  We stored Truck and camper at my mother-in-laws house in TN.  The hurricane season was beginning to peak at the coast of NC right before I left, so that became our plan.

I travel home from MI to TN.  Multi-purpose visit, to see my mother in law and spend some time with family.

On to NC the next day and finally home.  Having to keep our TC at a storage facility I took her over to unload - I have done time many times and saw no problems.

On my way home I went through Raleigh NC and the roadwork was pretty significant.  With some pretty bone-jarring bumps, I think the TC shift some in the bed of the truck.

So as I was unloading I felt the TC move with the truck - not a good sign.  So I stop and thought I better back it up some - my second bad idea.  Here are some pictures.

we suffered minor damage - this will test my sheet metal skills and it bent the pin on the truck body for which the tail gates engages when closed.

So now I have to add to the Mods list with some repairs -

And the quick fix.......
