We got the truck back from the shop on Wednesday afternoon. The carrier bearing was replaced and covered under warranty work. The front brake rotors were replaced, along with the rear shocks. Driving home I still noticed some vibration - and after two days of driving it and wondering what can be done, I've decided to take to a local shop with a long time reputation of good work when it comes to this. I suppose it could have been an accumulation of different items. Thinking now it might actually be the tires -
So while we are in PA for a few days of meetings, Tadlock Alignment of Wilmington gets the next shot at my truck.
stay tuned - more to come I'm sure. This is putting serious crimp in my remaining time to prep the truck for the cross country trip.
UPDATE: - Got the truck there and took a test drive with Mike. Afterwards, they pulled out their tool and the front two wheels are extremely out of balance and cupped. The plan now is to true the front tires, balance the front tires, and check the rear sets. -
We'll know in a couple days time - headed to PA for some meetings until Wednesday.
